Deep Time

How can we create ways for data to survive for hundreds or thousands of years--and still be understood?

And what about warning the future generations about all the toxic pollution we're putting into storage?

The Long Now Foundation thinks about these things.

Radiolab has an interesting episode about time, including a clock that will not "chime" for 1,594 years. Another great episode features Oliver Sacks and how whales might hear Beethoven.
